The ideal candidate will have previous Early Years experience and hold relevant qualifications such as a CACHE Level 3 qualification and Paediatric First Aid certification, demonstrating a commitment to providing high-quality care and support to young learners.
The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you'll support children within a Reception or Nursery setting, helping them develop the confidence, independence and skills they need to succeed throughout their educational journey.
Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you'll assist with both structured learning activities and play-based experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity and social development.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting children with their learning through play and exploration
- Assisting with phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities
- Working with small groups and individual pupils
- Encouraging positive social interaction and communication skills
- Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Observing and celebrating children's progress and achievements
What We're Looking For

- Have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development

- Can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Are enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn
- Have experience in an EYFS, childcare, nursery or school setting
- Have a good understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Hold a relevant Early Years or childcare qualification, such as a CACHE Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in Childcare and Education, Level 3 Early Years Educator, or an equivalent qualification
- Hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable)
- Understand the importance of safeguarding and child-centred support
